Meet your legal Requirements
Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSWR) specifies that an employer must appoint one or more competent persons to assist them in undertaking the measures they need to take to comply with their legal duties under health and safety law.
Harbour Health and Safety can act as your competent person.
The competent person may be an employee of the organisation or a third-party consultant, but they must have the necessary skills and experience to carry out the duties required of them. The employer is responsible for ensuring that the competent person is given the resources and time necessary to carry out their duties effectively.
